Castor Ames never asked to matter. Sara Ki'rell Sudis never had the choice. When a discovery buried in the physics of curved space threatens the fragile order of the Pentarch Cluster, the two of them are pulled into a conflict older than the colonies themselves, one where the price of the truth is everything they call home.

Five worlds. One key. And a door that should never have been found.

For readers of Speaker for the Dead and A Memory Called Empire.

The Author

Dean Williams

Dean Williams spent three decades running manufacturing floors: automotive glass, specialty chemicals, the places where precision is the difference between a good day and a very bad one. He brings that same engineering discipline to the Pentarch Cluster Universe, a space opera thirteen years in the making, where the physics has to hold and the people have to matter.

His short story “The 4 Corners Bar” received a Silver Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future contest. He lives in Henderson, Kentucky with his wife. The Curvature Key is his debut novel.
